“Generating Jobs and Helping the Urban Economy,”
STATE HOUSE – On Wednesday, May 21, Urban Ventures will be making a presentation, “Generating Jobs and Helping the Urban Economy,” at the request of Sen. Juan M. Pichardo (D-Dist. 2, Providence) and Rep. Agostinho F. Silva (D-Dist. 56, Central Falls).
Where: Senate Lounge at 2:30 p.m. to kick off the presentation, which is open to members of the General Assembly, the public and the media.
Urban Ventures is a nonprofit with a mission to provide the public and small businesses with business development assistance through education, training and consultation. The General Assembly created the organization in 1999 under the Rhode Island Economic Initiative in order to further its business development agenda. The nonprofit has since serviced more than 600 clients in Rhode Island’s urban communities, providing customized business development support for entrepreneurs and small business owners who need help navigating the trials of running a company or a start-up.
